The annual Duke MBA Consulting Symposium is the first forum of the academic year where industry experts educate students about their firms and about careers in consulting. It is a critical event for Fuqua’s first-year students, and it not only introduces consulting to interested students, but it also provides an opportunity for students and firms to meet each other.
The event consists of a keynote address, breakout panels, and networking opportunities. This year, the event will occur the afternoon of Wednesday, September 14th.
CONSULTING SYMPOSIUM: September 14th
12:00 to 1:00pm (David Thomas Center): Networking lunch with firm representatives (note: this is only for first year students and you must register. Due to limited space, invitations are on a first come first serve basis).
1:00 to 2:00pm (Geneen): Keynote Speaker: Mark Howorth, Partner at Bain & Company. Mark will be speaking about strategic management consulting in today’s economic environment. Mr. Howorth currently leads Bain’s global recruiting efforts and is part of the Media and Entertainment practice.
2:00 to 5:00pm (Classrooms): Panel Discussions (each panel offered twice)
